may the odds be ever in your favor!

Bookmarks I made out of printous. A Mockingjay Pin I just ordered on Lowyat and my Self Print Movie Ticket to the Hunger Games

Did you notice the previous Hunger Games references in the previous post? I'm soooo seriously obsessed with the trilogy right now. One sucky bit about being so busy all the time is that I seriously have NO TIME to dive into the books, so I am slowly pacing myself and have to make do with listening to the audio version of thebook as I drive to work and while coming back from Wewo's at night. If it were 10 years ago, I would have dedicated at least three days into finishing the entire trilogy!

I have been talking about Peeta for two weeks now, and Wewo has been very good natured about it, even when I demanded that he learn how to frost cupcakes. Oh, but he doesn't know that eventually, I will want him to start smelling like cinnamon and fresh baked cookies everyday. Someone should come up with a Peeta perfume STAT.

From a slightly depressing angle, I also feel ashamed when I compare my book draft to that of Suzanne Collin's masterpiece. I'm not giving up though, I will just rewrite and keep writing some more until it is decent, at the very least.

Back to work, and then some sleep!

introducing shiro

Have you heard of Shiro the Cat?

Wewo's facing a crossroad right now and I myself am literally lost in a whole pile of work (again), which made me wish that we could embody the AWESOMENESS that is this Cat.

So I made Shiro Bookmarks.

Step One: Print and Laminate

I stuffed as many Shiros as possible into one frame for him

Leftover Shiros are encased in a separate Picture Frame for me!

One for Me, One for Him

Wewo placed his at the office where he's most serious (and most bad ass) whereas mine is on my bedroom wall, right next to my Lucky Japanese Fortune and Studio Ghibli token.

And... Just in case you wanna print out your very own Shiro:

Shiro's ability to not give a damn is truly inspirational. And funny, huh. :D

Oscar is still My Favorite Dog in the Whole Universe, despite the fact that he is the oddest looking dog I've ever owned and he's kinda mean, bossy, stubborn and still has trouble walking properly. Grow old with me, OK, Oscar?

OK. I sleep now. Work, work.

a grateful Tuesday

Juicy Couture for the Girlfriends:

And my very first Facebook Prize arrived in the mail yesterday too! Lavendar Bath Scrubs courtesy of Bisou BonBon & Bisou Rose

Wewo was also featured in The Edge yesterday:

It's just one of those days where I'm grateful for everything in my Life, as we all should be! I am also greatly inspired by Jim Butcher's genius and The Hunger Games right now (the film has a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes!) So I'm doing a lot of writing, reading and dreaming these days.

it's hard to dance with a devil on your back, so shake it off

The Studio is the best place to spend Mondays in, because the people over there are awesome!

Above: Cookies from a Nice Colleague and a MAC Lip Gloss from the Fashionable Lady in the Office. The guys can't seem to stop munching on sweets though, so they left the whole box of sweets (in the heart shaped box) on my Table. So I'm starting to binge on sweets too. o(╥﹏╥)o

The banner on the top right corner is the Studio's work being displayed in the local shopping mall! Whee! (ノ´ー`)ノ

Despite sleeping less (or not sleeping at all), my curls are still present - although I tend to sleep on my sides these days, which means that I wake up to half a hair full of curls and the other side's just wavy. Oh well. (´_`)

Working all the time is stress on its own, even though I've designed it in such a way that I won't have a permanent Boss breathing down my neck. I'm working all over the place these days, from cafes to coffee shops and even on my bed. To destress, I have started collecting makeup starting with the MAC Fluid Eyeliner (OMG how do you wash the brush???), RIMMEL Lip Stick, Two Face Eyeshadow Insurance and L'Oreal's eye cream. Oh yeah, and I also purchased some nail polish and a pineapple scented hand cream. I will stop buying things now. For awhile.

I am also really, really, really into Jim Butcher's Aleran Codex right now.  It's epic, it's crazy and the characters are just awwwwwwwesome (and by awesome, I mean that I have a really, really bad crush on one of the side characters).  (´ ▽`).。o♡

R.A. Salvatore's nice, but nowhere near as epic as the genius that is Butcher. Interesting enough, Wewo is also reading a separate Butcher series, only his is about wizards and vampires in the modern day world whereas mine is about High Fantasy.

Happy Anniversary, Mr. Hero

Exactly this time last year, we had our very First Date. Ever since then, we've never spent more than 8 hours apart, talking, hugging, jumping, laughing and bumbling our way through worries and happiness.

And that is all.

life is a mess, literally.

I've lost several pens under the Eternal Pile of Stuff laying on top of my table and my clothes lie in a bundle all over my wardrobe with underwear, tights, shirts and skirts dangerously entwined in a complicated twist of sun dried breeziness and clean laundry. When was the last time I washed my bed sheets, anyway? (*≧m≦*)

Since this site is still acting as a virtual private diary, I guess it's pretty safe to be candid-ish about my living habitat.

Prior to March, my pedicures would always match my manicure and I had a colour coordinated wardrobe. It is safe to say that the past two weeks have been a flurry of activity as I hop from one emergency to another - but they're all good emergencies, like Wewo's Parents Visiting and making time for fresh, sweet avocado salads on Saturday mornings. The Lack of Time to Function Like a Decent Human Being can also be attributed to the sudden influx of clients, which is interesting as I hardly run any form of advertising. I have NO IDEA how I did it, but more money is always good, hey! O(≧▽≦)O

Did I mention that I finally got around to registering the Company? I have my very own domain name too! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Much has passed, but it is all starting to fall back into place now as I squeeze work into the weekends and still find time to juggle inner peace, a maniac dog and a Good Life. (you can do it! yosh!)

OK, back to re-arranging my wardrobe!

too much of a good thing, too soon

3 am on a Friday morning. I've been running around all day! My room's a mess and I still have a very long list of things to do before the weekend comes.

The good news is that people I've never talked to before today (well, technically yesterday) rang me up and randomly offered me work assignments with good fees to go with it. The bad news is that accepting all these new assignments effectively throws a big fat spanner into my planned routine and I am once again obliged to push back my novel's revision (yes, I've written a novel, two, actually). I won't complain though. Seriously, who gets THREE new clients in the span of two days?

I guess I will update more tomorrow, I took plenty of pictures today. For now, I should sleep as I'll be up in less than 5 hours. (^_^);

Once every 4 days

Happy Leap Year!

Neil Gaiman for the win <3

Garrett Popcorn Review

Ended the 29th of February by deciding to sabotage Wewo's 6 Pack Goal with some gourmet popcorn!

Cashew-Caramel Crisp

We were both Garrett Popcorns virgins, and I gotta say... for RM19, this popcorn is pretty unsatisfying. The problem is that unlike its namesake would have otherwise suggested, Garrett popcorn is actually not crispy at all. I like my popcorn crunchy, so for me, I would opt for the TGV Popcorn over Garrett Popcorn any other day. The fact that I brought home half a bag of it is also a testament to how absolutely "meh" the product is. Normally, Wewo and I would be hustling to polish off an entire box of medium-sized butter popcorn but today, none of us really wanted seconds.

His Bonus Loot!

Wewo received a mini box of Laurent-Perrier champagne for his great performance at work last year. Did you know that champagne should be kept in cool, dark places else it'll turn into vinegar? We're keeping it for either a wedding or to celebrate babies. It's gonna last a long time since I can't take alcohol without falling asleep pretty quickly (^_^);

Have you heard of the HJ Love Story? This nice Korean artist began drawing cartoons to show his love for his girlfriend. Two years later, they got married! (^_^)

You can view most of his work either on Facebook or at He's coming up with an iPhone app next, so if you like his work, do support by donating!

Now if only he would make an app for Android phones....

This are is left blank on purpose
