18 fried dumplings.

( ´ ▽ ` )ノ タダイマァ

Holla! Welcome to the weekend!

I did a whole lot of non-work stuff today. The day's events unfolded as follows- Exercise, Oscar's Monthly Grooming escapade, saxophone class, bathroom cleaning, laundry, meetings, dating, How I Met Your Mother Season 7 (I'm a late bloomer) followed by even more work and here we are now at 1AM in the morning. And to highlight how crazy the day was, all I had was a packet of chocolate milk, 18 pieces of friend wantan, two cups of coffee and a quarter chicken.

I know. Total. Bad Ass.

Today, I discovered that pregnant women should stay away from caffeine, which means no Starbucks for nearly a year. Which is why I went out and got me some sugar lovin'.

Yes. I have reached that point in my life where I am seriously considering multiplying a portion of my DNA and then releasing "it" out into the world. Oh dear.

Let's move on.

Look! You can put stuff in your Starbucks cup!
Inspired by a Pin in which little soft toys were kept in Starbucks cups. SO CUTE!
I stuffed my cup with craft punches I acquired for wedding stuff.

Speaking of the wedding... behold, the draft for the wedding card

Design done on my iPad, app used: Martha Stewart CraftStudio. Totally worth it!

Fingers crossed it'll look good on paper too. We'll find out soon enough as we'll be collecting the sample printout tomorrow! Psyched! I plan to match it with lace envelopes!

OK I'm going to go pass out now. G'night and sleep tight!

Food Paradise: Dreamz Bakery

So after our accounting workshop last weekend (yes, I said it. Accounting. Workshop.), we decided to drop by this cafe I really, really, really, really wanted to try out since a couple of months back.

So cute! Pink! So much pink!
Rum n Raisin Millie Crepe Cake. It was only OK, but we really liked the Eiffel Tower!

Creme Brulee. This was yummy.

I think this was a Cappucino. It was good coffee.

We shared a plate of tomato spaghetti. Surprisingly delicious! Hot and savoury.

You can write stuff to be pinned on the wall

Our table

The awesome interior (taken from their Facebook).
When we went, the place was packed with girls. It was like eye candy land - if you know what I mean *wink*

Leave a message!

Girls are lucky, we get to hang out in whimsical places like these all day long. Boys are lucky because they get to use us as passports to dessert land~   \(^▽^*)いらっしゃ~いっ(*^▽^)/

I'm seriously contemplating getting Hello Kitty biscuits as wedding favors

But these cost like RM3.50 for 2 pieces, which will bring the grand total up to nearly RM400 for all the wedding guests.

So go visit the Dreamz Bakery the next time you're at the Strand, Kota Damansara!

Dreamz Facebook:
Opening Hours: 12 to 10pm, Closed on Tuesdays
Address: No32-1,The Strand,Jalan PJU 5/20D, Pusat Perdagangan Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

so I was busy... and...

Dear Diary,

The past week has been filled with random gifts and plenty of junk food.

RM60 worth of sushi from Isetan
I tried the Salted Caramel Mocha thingy from Starbucks. Bleh. Total hot mess.

Tiramisu! I was very stressed with work that day.
But everything's OK now so I can take a breather for the next couple of days. Yay.

And then there was the double decker cheesy pizza from dominos with BBQ wings and chicken crunchies plus a bucket of original KFC chicken with cheesy wedges and coleslaw ... In short, it has become pretty apparent that our busy schedule is in direct proportion to the amount of junk food we eat. Oh well. Fingers crossed I'll be having my very own kitchen one year from now!

Wewo also bought me this pair of Yoga Sandals due to my poor posture and darn scoliosis. How cute are they?!!! \(^ ^)/

They're basically expensive orthopaedic shoes and are supposed to help with things like posture, Achilles tendons and plantar fasciitis. And they're so fluffy! I wear them to work, Wewo's place and even at home too.

Oscar is investigating my Oprah Winfrey-approved sandals
Messing around with Oscar late at night. Yes, he needs a bath. Again.
Being so busy also makes me worried that I'm not spending enough quality time with Oscar, too. He's growing old too and it's important to me that he fully experiences all the perks of being a big ball of fur with googly eyes.

Say hi, Oscar!

Look, I can stick my photo there!

So in summary,

I am barely getting enough sleep

I am starting to lose track of things

But everyday is fun, fun, fun filled with plenty of pretty adventures and rainbow coloured surprises. I'm off to give Oscar another kiss on the head before turning in for the night. Good night, diary!

Fraser's Hill

It's 2am now, and I'm waiting for my nail polish to dry. Uh. I dunno why I'm putting on nail polish at 2 in the morning. It seemed like a good idea 10 minutes ago. Also, I have to be up at 7 tomorrow for a money workshop thing.

Update ---photos of my new nail art included!

So simple but purrrrrdy ~

Went to Fraser's last month with some uni buddies. It was our first time there, so it was pretty exciting. We got all dressed up like tourists whereas everybody else just went with slippers and shorts, hahahaha.

group shot - can you spot the third wheel?

Photos look like it was taken with a potato, because I was still using my old Panasonic DMC-FX10. I promptly switched cameras after that. I now have a shiny red camera to play with! Whee!

I really wanted to sample the high tea at the smokehouse place up on the hill, but the timing just wasn't right.
Took some dodgy photos instead.

Our dinner somewhere taken between Fraser's Hill and KL. And that dish on the left corner is made up of FROGS!

The highlight of the trip

So in short, there is nothing epic to look at on Fraser's Hill. We did have lots of fun though, because sipping on red wine and munching on nachos with old friends is always fun. I'd probably only go up there with friends because the roads are plain windy and dangerous. Definitely not a couple or kid-friendly place.

High Tea at home, including cream and passionfruit tea.

I'll be dropping by Singapore at the end of this month, and will be planning another Top Secret trip (maybe to Sekeping Serendah? That place looks gorgeous!) for Wewo's birthday in November. November is a pretty big month, because we'll be officially man and wife by then (OMG, I know. OMG) and we even had our first marriage preparation counselling session today. You know, so we'll know that we're ready to get married and stuff. They ask you some pretty personal questions, like whether or not you're already pregnant before the marriage.

OK, sleep time!

of secret admirers

I was treated to really expensive, delicious cupcakes last month! The treat was even topped off with my favourite Gino cappucino!

I wish I knew where these cupcakes were from - then I would totally go back and buy some more!
One's chocolate whereas the other one's peanut butter flavoured.

Mmm Cappucino with dinner... Mmmmm    *(*´∀`*)☆

The cupcakes were moist, not too sweet and melted in the mouth! Yummy! AND THEY WERE FREE!

Who bought the whole office over 50 cupcakes

And there were flowers and other expensive stuff too

Dayum, I've never heard of a rich secret admirer in real life, before! And Wewo's colleague is so sweet, hardworking, young and gorgeous! *girl crush mode on* This is just like in those Korean dramas!!!

Speaking of admirers stalkers admirers,

An ex-boyfriend contacted me again recently. Even though we broke up for like, three years already.

The creepy part is that I haven't figured out how he found out that I'm engaged! Ewww!

I think it's a mean thing to do, but have you ever wondered why you dated some people at certain times in your life? I think that there is a lesson to be learnt in every relationship, so I guess it is still OK to keep falling in love until you find that right person who fits right under the crook of your neck and loves you enough to carry home a hot cup of coffee for you without even stealing a sip.

of self fulfilling prophecies

I spent a good thirty minutes at the fruits section of ISETAN KLCC just marvelling at how expensive everything was. Grapes imported from Japan cost almost RM100 per pack. I almost bought it because it looked so round and juicy and yummy... ... ... but I couldn't. It would feel exactly like swallowing MONEY!

Wewo's dad told us about how he used to cycle past his dream home and tell himself that he would own it someday. Considering that I have been thinking about the grapes for the past 48 hours, I believe that I will eventually be able to sit down and enjoy those bloody expensive grapes with a clear conscience and a nice, fat bank account. One day. That day will come, just you wait and see!

In related but separate news, I have introduced a new young lady into my life - Lady Ducky!

Sorry about the messy table - I was unpacking lots of stuff at that time
Lady Ducky's function is to help me save up every RM5 I come across. Most people practise the $5 dollar savings in a jar, but leaving money out in the open is both tempting and dangerous. Better to stuff it in a pearl necklace wearing yellow duck! I don't really know why I started up the RM5 savings duck. It is quite possible that it is because I wanted to see if I too can accumulate RM12,000 in 3 years just by putting RM5 away every chance I get (like in this story). That, plus I'm thinking about getting an iMac next year. Tee hee.

Lady Ducky with one weeks' worth of accumulation
I didn't have time to slot the notes in one by one, so I did it uhm, rather unorthodoxly.

Now Lady Ducky sits next to the TV, happy and full!

Best. Second. Proposal. Ever.

Well, technically it is the third proposal because the first proposal was when he proposed with a gold saxophone and the second proposal was when he bent his knee and put the ring on my finger. I promise you, I'm totally not a demanding girl, but this man is seriously crazy romantic.

I received a package from UPS today, but I wasn't allowed to open it until Wewo got off work. He's terrible! He made me wait for an hour before I could open my package! All I knew was that it was a book that was sent to New York....

So this is me, drinking cappucino at Gino (Isetan, KLCC)
Incidentally, the Gino coffee is really good! I actually prefer it over Starbucks.

I peeked and saw the name R.A. SALVATORE!!!

*mind blown*

I was driving when Wewo opened up the package to ensure that everything was in order. Truth be told, just watching his face light up after a long day at work made everything totally worth it. He was so grooved up about the whole thing.See? I can be romantic too. Hehe. I love you!

He planned to let me read the book as a surprise, but I couldn't wait any more -- so our third proposal happened in my car, at some traffic light outside KLCC. He showed me the page and then I giggled. Then I looked at it again and then I cackled like a witch. And then I glanced at it again and I laughed hysterically.

Because there are no words to describe what it feels like to have someone you admire so much write to you and wish you all the best in your life. There are no words. And Wewo is awesome.

Congratulations, I hope! And may you (two) find a long, exciting and loving journey.

R.A. (freaking) Salvatore.

Wewo accompanied the presentation of the book with some discussion on why the Sellswords trilogy was chosen. Sellswords are mercenaries. They only want money, fame and fortune with loyalty only to each other. Wewo says that's us against the world. We're bad ass, we're serious and well, OK, we have a whole lot more integrity too.

I chose to be Jarlaxle because he's super cunning and fun, even though he's bald. Wewo approves because he says that Jarlaxle is the most dangerous although Artemis is much more proficient with the sword (but then again Artemis is mostly human, and Jarlaxle is a drow, which already gives him the physical advantage).

My life is complete. I had a great Friday evening!

If it's You, Then It's OK.

Dear Diary,

Today was one of those days that just went on and on and on. This is partly because I spent a good portion of it listening to the Joe Ledger audiobook (man, those freaking zombies just keep on coming! It's like listening to an angry Jack Bauer in my head! Exhausting!), and partly also because even though I've just officially become a professional copywriter-cum-marketer-cum-social media person with one full fledged year of experience - ahem, it still does not change the fact that I have pretty poor time management skills.

All I remember is waking up at 7:45AM, getting out of the house by 8:40AM and now here we are, sitting here with wet hair at 11:30PM.

And I remember the coffee.

Hot, delicious, yummy coffee

I'm pretty sure we've already established how gallant my Wewo is, so you may want to skip ahead for those of you who won't be taking notes on how to woo a girl, completely and irrevocably.

Anyway, so I had a pretty hectic evening, so much so that I didn't even have time for dinner. To make up for it, I dropped Wewo off at McDonalds so he could get us a value meal and an extra coffee for me, because I'd be driving for another two hours thereafter. I'm pretty distracted as we try to avoid getting parking tickets and heavy traffic so by the time I get home, I've decided to just have my coffee plain black because I'm too tired to add in any other condiments into it.

So I bravely take a gulp of my cold coffee, fully expecting a bitter after taste - but it never comes. The coffee is magically well flavoured just the way I like it (one packet of sugar, two packets of creamers) and it occurs to me that while I was fretting about work, lost time and The Meaning of Life, Mister Wewo found the time to stir in some sugar and cream into my coffee cup.

Of course, I am no ungrateful heathen. I promptly call Wewo up and gush about how awesome and bad ass he is. Boys like to be complimented, don't you know. Incidentally, do check out Lydia Netzer's article on how to stay married for 15 years (and counting). It's a really good read for people who like being in relationships!

In other related news, I am so totally over wedding planning. But, the show must go on!

Nude nails with flower detailing for my wedding album photoshoot

Complemented said nail polish with nude-pink nails. Totally not me, as I'm more of a bright nail polish girl.
Pom Pom flowers for the bridesmaids. Pretty and cheaper than actual flowers! Score! $$$

I want to move around a lot and dance on my wedding day, so we decided that getting comfortable shoes are more important than getting gorgeous wedding shoes. I'm considering primping up my very first pair of Rockport shoes with big purple flowers or a bow on the side. We will see!

The pre-wedding photoshoot has been completed, but the photos won't be out for awhile. I have been sent a few shots though, so I can design my wedding invitation card.

Wewo > Pam > Oscar

I'm looking forward to Thursday!

This are is left blank on purpose
