A mom who is there 12.5% of the time

The weekend is nearly over!

In line with yesterday's post about Stoic habits, I am going to quickly jot down some thoughts for today before calling it a night. Actually I really just want to close up the house and tuck into bed right now; no wonder Marcus Aurelius (the guy who invented Stoicism) did his daily musings in the morning. But what on earth do you have to write about when you haven't started your day yet?

dinosaur cosplay inflatable lazada malaysia

I got an adult and kids-size inflatable dinosaur cosplay from China... just because Jed loves dinosaurs.

My mom responsibilities.

Because of my childhood, to this very day I am convinced that I am one of those people who should not have children; I am simply not maternal by nature. So there is a lot of guilt that God let me have the two best babies in the world and like every other parent, I do try my best for them... most of the time. Kind of.

We are lucky to have help around the house and my main responsibility is now focused towards keeping track of the household expenses and keeping the business sustainable. I have outsourced the typical mom duties e.g. showering, diapering, feeding, cooking, cleaning and putting the kids to sleep. When it comes to my children, all I really do is play, hug, kiss, adore and annoy them in the morning, afternoon and evening before bedtime.

So today I calculated that I only spend 12.5% of the time with my children every day, even during weekends like these where I am at home for two days in a row. Once the duties are done and play has been accomplished, I go upstairs into my office and start working because I can and also because I am happy when I work.

Will my children be happier if I am with them all the time when they are awake? This was what I used to worry about all the time.

Now that I have been a mom for 4 years I realise that it's not the hours that matter, but the quality of the moments you spend together. Actually, some time apart also allows the child to increase their awareness to their surroundings as they learn to be independent much faster without a parent (even a lazy, non-excitable parent) hovering over them.

But I know that even now, even though I know it's fine that I only spend a few hours with them everyday, I will always have the guilt following me around.

If J&J are adults and they are reading this now, please know that I am working on being a mom that you can be proud of, a mom that can provide the best for everyone and no matter how busy the day gets, I will always drop everything for you whenever you need me.

I am there 12.5% of everyday, but I will be there for you every day, 365 days a year. Except maybe when I'm feeling under the weather and don't feel like getting up, then come hop into bed with mummy, OK?

This morning she really wanted her mommy so we hung out in my room while I showered, we put on makeup together and then had 10-minute coffee and hot chocolate drinks & chit chat together while sitting on the floor. She made the hot chocolate all by herself using the coffee machine and that black garment draped over her is my dress that she liked and wanted to wear.

Stoicism Made Me Reflect on My Last 2 Weeks

For the first time ever, everyone experienced celebrating a major Malaysian holiday at home! Was it weird for you? I still can't believe Easter just passed us by; those poor uneaten chocolate bunnies ...

We played one Raya song in the office to celebrate!

When I'm back home it is now very easy to be swallowed up by work and dreaming  the day away when I'm not busy chasing children around the house. The new post-MCO routine is havoc! It has been 2 weeks since I exercised and to do tasks are still piling up menacingly over my 5 feet tall frame.

Why Do Stoics Journal Every Day?

These couple of days, YouTube has been suggesting Daily Stoicism and I find it very interesting that one of the daily habits they mention to have an effective life is to practice daily journaling. I remember being a kid and writing in a diary everyday, heck I even remember spending a lot of my young adult life blogging but somehow when you are an adult you are supposed to keep everything inside and just get on with the business of things.

I think that is why for the past 2 weeks since I was back at work, I had no desire to log in and blog.

It is so easy to mute yourself and fall into a routine without really thinking about your why and how; it is easy to forget to be grateful and to remember that everyday, you should think about what you learned and how you can get better.

So here I go reflecting on my past 2 weeks -

Remember her Super Mario Princess Peach cake? One Saturday morning she woke up and decided she was going to be Princess Peach the whole day. And so she was.

I also bought matching Mario and Luigi hats (Thank you Lazada!) but it's a little too big for the 2 year old now.

Last Sunday Daddy was in charge of handling the kids during online Sunday school via Zoom. My kids are on Zoom! I am honestly looking forward to disconnecting the kids from online videos ASAP post-covid. Mainly for safety reasons but also I think kids need to be with other kids physically.

These days the kids can play together peacefully for 5-10 minute blocks and my job is just to stare at them because I can't believe I made the two most amazing people in the Whole World.

Daddy and Jub's face art on the fridge. You make it by pressing stretch film over your face and drawing all over your face.

One evening we spent the hour before bedtime playing with paper dolls. Paper dolls used to be so precious to me because I only had hand-me-down paper dolls from my older sisters. But it did not break my heart when my kid said the paper doll had ugly clothes. The kid is right.

One afternoon, hiding upstairs and eating my kid's ice-cream.

Enjoying my privilege as a Mom to be weird and stroke/smell/kiss my kid's head anytime I want. It's fair because he uses me as his personal sofa.

Watching my kids from afar while they colour together. I was on my way upstairs to get back to work. I still work everyday, even though we are back in the office Monday to Fridays.

chocolate milk

Having a morning conversation with my kid. We were going to be late going into the office but it's OK, we were in a very important discussion about which tasted better - hot chocolate or cold milk chocolate in a packet?

yellow roses

The last time I bought flowers for the house, it all died. So I learned my lesson and I decided to buy flowers for the office this time.

This was on Friday after we came back from visiting the paediatrician; everyone was exhausted and I was worried Jed might have a reaction from the vaccination (he didn't and all the babies are fine). I discovered that the white marks on baby's arm is from an autoimmune reaction and that freaked me out a little bit, but turns out it's totally normal and my boy has a forever bad ass white mark on his arm now.

The air cond capacitor melted, so it wasn't blowing cold air anymore. My 4 year old decided to take charge of the situation and have a discussion about the air-cond performance with the repairman. We should all have this kid's level of self confidence. Does she not know she's 4 years old?

This photo was when I decided that YES, after 70+ days of staying at home, my kids are ready to go back to school (after discussing the risks with the paediatrician).

jin yong english translation

This is me realising that in the past 14 days I have been finding great joy every day in my family and at work; but I also need to find sometime for me. So I am going to make time every day to read while I drink my homemade Caramel Macchiato.

What I learned today
1. Momento Mori - live as if it's your last day, your last week.
2. Do one thing at a time - be present at each moment (see point one)
3. Try to journal every day to reflect and be 1% better every day.

I am curious to know if I will be a different person by Christmas 2020.

First day back to the office!

I know I know, the war against Covid-19 is still ongoing and many predict it will be around until 2022. But we have decided that life must go on, and so my life is now ongoing. Today is the first day we open the office again!

face shield in the office

I bought these face shields from The Playground Borneo; they donate one face shield to frontliners for every face shield that you buy so I bought 20 to give to family and friends. Best of all, they deliver it directly to you FOC.

What we are doing differently from the other companies
  • All employees are back to work in the office
  • Previously we enforced work from home Fridays, but due to work overload the past 50 days, everyone is now back in the office Monday to Friday to catch up
  • Sanitation is conducted daily according to SOP
  • Gloves, masks, (awesome) face shields and sanitiser also provided
  • Coffee, snacks and lunch is provided daily
  • If you reach your daily KPI; go home - even if you achieved your daily goal by 10am. Just go home, no questions asked. There is only one daily KPI.
  • If you reach your weekly KPI early; go home for the rest of the week - even if you reached your weekly KPI on Tuesday, you can stay at home Wednesday to Friday, no questions asked. There is only one weekly KPI.
  • Of course all of the above KPIs are very achievable.
Despite the competition to see who can leave the office early, everyone was way too happy to be back in the office laughing and talking and sharing stories, updating each other and brainstorming new ideas.

Precious welcome back to office gift, because video calls are the future now

Our shared office space was empty today and while so many companies continue to work from home (some turning this into a permanent arrangement), we are going the opposite way and are bringing the team closer (well, 1m apart, but close enough). To be honest, I think every company's DNA is different so some will do well working remotely; whereas other companies like JP Associates will probably do better while we work together.

We work together, eat together, get rich together.

I myself have no problem working from home, but there is something super precious about meeting all your team mates again after so long and having easy conversations, throwing ideas and thinking out loud without worrying about Internet lag or talking over each other during a Zoom meeting.

Going to work makes me happy, and the fact that my team members feel happy also makes me happy.

I am going to work hard to protect my team and company! Let's go, 2020!

A day in a Business Owner's Life

Morning
Meditate, journal, breakfast
Kiss babies
Get into the office; refrain from hugging everybody
Give out MITI approved travel letters and awesome face shields

Send out invoices for more money
Buy kimchi for husband
Feel worried about babies left at home so spy on them via webcam (they were pretend reading)

I haven't decided when the kids should go back to daycare yet, so they are at home while I am at work. It weighs heavily on my heart but luckily we have good help and they are good kids.

Afternoon
Eat delivery food in the office and watch Netflix with everybody (today we watched Kungfu Hustle
Review marketing and special projects in the era of Covid; choosing which projects to continue and which to put on hold for now

Review team performance
Drive home and play with babies

Today was an overall good soft landing back into work. Tomorrow is when the real brain squeezing work begins; but all the same I would like to continue making it a habit of chronicling my day in Pam Writes a Blog as often as I can.

How to heal your soul in 6 minutes 40 seconds

You guys, I found something more healing than meditating and praying!

120 singers from 80 churches in Malaysia sang "The Blessing" together and it made me cry.

If you know me personally, you know that I never cry over anything. I wasn't even choked up during my wedding or birth of my two precious babies. It is actually my special feature - Pam never gets over emotional over anything. As a matter of fact the more emotional a situation is the more I detach myself from it, almost like a ... psychopath.

But I watched this video twice already (just to be sure) and both times I watched it I cried.

Because it's so hard to live in this world right now where some of us are OK, some of us are getting by and others are not OK, they will not get by.

Instead of numbing myself to the pain Coronavirus has caused so many people around the world, this video has empowered so many people in Malaysia to bless each other through the power of Christ. It is truly the most wonderful, magical thing to see.

(Actually this is probably another first for me, I seldom talk about Christianity because I don't think anyone is interested in learning about my religious opinions).

Please watch this video now and it's OK if you cry because I cried too (silently, discretely).

Here are the lyrics:

The Lord bless you and keep you
Make his face shine upon you
And be gracious to you
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace

Barakatan (Be blessed) - Dusun
Lalu ngintu (and protected) - Iban
使祂的脸光照你 (The Lord make His face shine upon you) - Mandarin
也赐恩给你 (and be gracious to you) - Mandarin
Karthar unakku samathanam (The Lord give you peace) - Tamil
Mare senang (Give you peace) - Kelabit

Chorus —
Amen, amen, amen

Tuhan s’lalu, berkati
Wajah-Nya menyinari mu
Dengan kasih kurnia
Memandang mu, Tuhan beri
Kedamaian

Chorus —
Amen, amen, amen

Bridge —
Rahmat Tuhan bersama mu
Tuk seribu generasi
Keluarga, anak kamu
Cucu cicit, anak m'reka

Ke hadapan bersama mu
Belakang mu, sebelah mu
Sekeliling dan dalaman
Tuhan ada dengan kamu

Waktu siang, waktu petang
Waktu pergi, waktu datang
Susah hati, senang hati
Dia ada untuk kamu, Dia ada untuk kamu

May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And your family and your children
And their children, and their children

May His presence go before you
And behind you, and beside you
All around you, and within you
He is with you, He is with you

In the morning, in the evening
In your coming, and your going
In your weeping, and rejoicing
He is for you, He is for you

#TheMalaysiaBlessing #BerkatiMalaysia #祝福马来西亚 #MalaysiaAsirvatham

If you've read all the way to this part, please let me share that this is my prayer for you and your family as well:

May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And your family and your children
And their children, and their children

May His presence go before you
And behind you, and beside you
All around you, and within you
He is with you, He is with you

In the morning, in the evening
In your coming, and your going
In your weeping, and rejoicing
He is for you, He is for you

I wish the very best for you, dear person of interest. Although I don't know what you're going through right now, it will be OK.

Everything will be OK. He is with you, before you, behind you, in the morning and in the evening.

Listen to me, OK? It's going to be OK.

Chloe Ting 2 Weeks Shred Challenge Review

Before the Covid lockdown, I tried all kinds of exercises:

  • 16,000 steps a day for 10 days (less bloating but no weight loss)
  • Treadmill walking at a 3.5 incline for 30 minutes (no results)
  • 16 hours fasting (this is the best but due to my busy schedule I couldn't find time to eat during the 8 hour period)
  • And I also attended  a weekly TRX class at the gym

During Covid, I decided to make it a habit to keep working out everyday because I only recorded a daily 1,000+ steps everyday due to home confinement. So I was super inactive and because I was at home a lot I ate a lot, every hour there was something in my mouth.

I really liked this 10 minute exercise video by April Han:

april han exercise video

It's super short and sweet!

But for some reason it stopped working after 2 weeks and I never really got the muscle definition I wanted. I think after I complete the Chloe program I will go back to this video.

So I tried the Chloe Ting 2 Weeks Shred Challenge after watching YouTube reviews. The results:

Chloe Ting 2 Weeks Shred Challenge Review

Do keep in mind that my tummy previously also stored 2 babies and I never really got rid of the pregnancy fat. Hehe.

Funny enough I still didn't manage to lose weight but my tummy is much smaller and my stomach muscles are tauter. Overall I would call this challenge effective and recommend it to other people considering that I usually only did 2-3 of her videos everyday because I have no patience and energy to workout longer than 20-30 minutes.

Chloe Ting also has so many more free programs available, so do check her page out.

I think it's important to keep switching up programs after 2-4 weeks so your body will literally know a new kind of pain and grow from there. My other criteria for workout videos are:

Rule 1: Ideally 10-15 minutes long
Rule 2: No equipment needed
Rule 3: Allows me to eat whatever I want (because I have never successfully diet before)

Hope this review helps someone! At the beginning it's hard but as long as you don't think about it and just start exercising in your shirt, shorts or even naked the results will start to show. One thing I realised is since I started exercising my body doesn't crave over eating as much and I can go for weeks and weeks without eating junk food.

Having said that, I still eat lots of sweets and dessert every day (cake, ice-cream, caramel coffee, sugar, sugar cookies, butter buns)...

Chloe Ting 2 Weeks Shred Challenge Review

My simple workout setup - a mat, laptop to watch the workout video and a movie or Netflix playing on the big TV to distract myself while I torture my body.

Even though we are back to the office tomorrow, I intend to continue working out from home later in the day. Hopefully 2020 will be the year I achieve six pack abs!

Productive work from home guide

Productive work from home guide

My favourite lounge chair is also my office at home!

Productive work from home guide

I used to be the kind of person where if the day doesn't start right or if I did not do enough preparation the day before, I wouldn't plan for the rest of the day to be productive. But when you're a young mom of 2 kids below 4 years old and also a young business owner leading a team of younger people, you gotta be prepared to expect the unexpected ...

Here are methods I use in my day-to-day. The habit of planning my work for the day has become a daily routine but I switch up my method of keeping myself on track depending on the day I'm about to have.

Method 1 - Division of Important // Urgent // Personal Goals // Ideas

Productive work from home guide
This method is most useful during busy work weeks. It's easy to get caught up in the urgent things and I find myself capable of spending the entire day working on things that are urgent but actually don't make a difference to the business. Urgent matters are usually things that can be put on hold so I acknowledge it and write it down, but won't necessarily put all my effort on it first thing in the day.

Say it with me - urgent items may not be important items.

The important items are things that only I can do. So I work on it ASAP so the rest of the team can follow through on their end. This list are things that should take top priority. Get this done first!

I have the ability to work from day to night without stop, but it's not a healthy option for me right now as I am now an old lady so I also need to maintain myself physically, mentally, spiritually and lovingly. So even though I already know that I need to exercise, spend time with family, have regular meals and meditate daily; I still write it down as a daily personal goal else I will just conveniently "forget" about it by the end of the day.

I have never regretted skipping an urgent or important item; but I have regretted many times when I miss a personal goal. Are you like me too?

Ideas are for random ideas I may have as I work throughout the day. I write it down in this panel and explore it when I have the time.

Method 2 - Bullet Journal style

Productive work from home guide
On days when I don't have so many things to take care of, I rely on a bullet journal style of listing down my tasks. It's fun to tick items off the list and those that are not completed will be brought forward to the following day. This method is especially useful when you're out of your usual work routine - maybe you're working remotely or have a short work day.

Method 3 - Hourly tracking

I don't track my hours but I do plan my day by the hour through my phone app. Frankly, there are days where I completely miss 5-6 hours of my planned day due to a cute baby passing by, a sudden client call or just because I was tired and needed to rest. The method of hourly tracking is not to create a strict lifestyle regime but it's to keep myself mindful of the time.

Remember when you spent days on the sofa and watching Netflix the whole day? Through hourly tracking I ensure that I have time to watch Netflix, read a book, exercise and still get my house and work in order within 24 hours.

Here are screenshot examples of my days, but do note that I don't follow it exactly. I probably follow 60% of the scheduled time but somehow magically because I am aware I had something planned for that time, the days pass by with the feeling of accomplishments.

It also helps that throughout the day you get pop up reminders of things you are supposed to be doing at that moment.

Apps that I use to stay productive

Google Keep (this is FREE!) - I use this to take down notes like "buy milk" throughout the day and then consolidate all my thoughts by the end of the day so I never forget any thing
Timepage on iOS

Other apps that I highly recommend are Trello and Notion as well; I use these in my business work with the rest of the team.

Can I have a career while working from home?

Yes, but it depends on your industry.

Plenty of influencers make millions of dollars online and majority of them work from home.

I myself worked from home for the first 2 years of running the business simply because we weren't ready to afford having an office space.

But if you are a professional working in a large organisation, as a recruiter I wouldn't recommend full-time work from home options to any of my candidates, simply because if you're at home then you limit your capacity to grow, learn and lead.

Statistically, professional workers who stay at home may have better work life balance but they will probably not be promoted or gain more recognition in their professional career. As the saying goes, out of sight out of mind.

Even popular influencers need to step out of their home to learn about new product and services to influence, after all.

The world is scary, but for me, wasted potential is so much more scarier. So do balance your work-life persona well, dear reader.

On another note, I am SUPER EXCITED to be back in the office on Monday!

Office prank - Colleague coming back from Medical Leave

I am so excited for Monday, because we will finally be back in the office after 50 days! In celebration of that, I want to share about the office prank I orchestrated in January this year, way before Covid-19 became a big deal in Malaysia.

I have this one colleague who is happy to drink bitter soup from traditional chinese medicine shops but will refuse to see GP clinics even though she was really sick (literally lost her voice); so a normal ailment that would normally take 2-3 days to heal became a 2-week long problem.

Here's an easy office prank for colleagues who are away due to a (not so serious) illness:

I created a little quarantine area around her desk. The items are really easy to find - both the WARNING sign and CAUTION Tape was bought from Ace Hardware. The tape is sticks by static, so you don't even have to use cellophane tape. I think overall it took me about an hour to decide and start taping everything up.

I heard that when she stepped into office and saw the mess we made, she lost her voice again.

This was her nice near office space before the mess. She is OCD.

Office prank - Colleague coming back from Medical Leave

I went out for a meeting and came back to find this on my desk! Nice try, guys.

DID I TELL YOU I'M SUPER EXCITED ABOUT GOING BACK TO THE OFFICE YET, I MISS MY TEAM SO MUCH.

Who knew I'm an office freak?

One Mom's Opinion on Mother's Day

I have an unpopular confession to make.

I have never thought I gave up my future, youth and potential for my children. Hence, Mother's Day is always an awkward day for me. I really don't feel like I sacrificed anything to deserve a whole day of celebration.

If I want to relax, I'm going to relax. If I want to pamper myself, I'm not going to wait till Mother's Day to give myself permission to get pampering.

Yes, there are crazy days and mad days - days of washing, cleaning, feeding, teaching and then sleepless nights staying up and worrying about a fever or nightmare. I guess there will be even more challenging nights and days to come as the children grow older and push for independence.

But I think as long as I remain happy, they will grow up to be happy children even if they don't get the "best" of the latest child raising standards. At the end of the day, women are now not forced to have children. It was my choice to bear children; so if I become a crazy strict mom who guilts her children, please remind me that my children don't owe me anything as well.

I think that as long as I love them unconditionally and raise them well; they will also love me unconditionally and become humans capable of kindness and love.

Serious thoughts aside, it's always nice to be appreciated around the house!

Although I asked for no presents today, I woke up to breakfast in bed:

mother's day idea

mother's day card

mother's day card

And after that we also made a Mothers Day card during online kids church class:

P/S - Having said all that, I would never say no to foei gras or a freshly made burger for any reason (or no reason) at all

2 and 4 years old kids birthday cake ideas

Isn't it amazing that in the last birthday post in this blog, my first kid was only 1 years old?! Today we celebrated her 4th birthday.

One major item that they left out at Lamaze classes is the fact that if you are a mom you will probably be in charge of all family and holiday traditions - from Chinese New Year to Christmas and birthdays. I try to keep annual celebrations as realistic as possible (i.e. I won't kill myself trying to outdo/do the same fabulous thing every year until I can afford one of Kris Jenner's assistants).

Our Birthday Traditions

  • Crazy cakes
  • A birthday letter to the child (I published the 1 year old letter in this blog post but have decided to keep the rest private)
  • RM100 in each letter for the child to find later on. I haven't decided yet on what age they should be receiving all their birthday letters, because I am making this up as I go along
  • No birthday parties for any kid until they are old enough to beg, plead, help out in the planning of their birthday party
  • Birthday presents are optional because they already have plenty of books and toys to last a whole childhood
  • Hugs and kisses and incessantly tossing the kid up in the air while congratulating them on their birthday is obligatory

Two year old's birthday party

Having birthdays during MCO lockdown in Malaysia is awesome because I don't have to find an excuse not to have a birthday party (other than the fact that I am totally 100% not a party planner) and it's nice not to have to worry if I should take the kids to the aquarium, zoo, indoor park for their birthdays.

All we had was cake, KFC and party hats to celebrate my 2 year old's birthday which he has probably forgotten about by now.

I got him a custom poop cake. Because... he's a baby who eats a lot.

Four year old's birthday party

She doesn't play video games but that didn't stop her from watching Super Mario games on YouTube (kids these days). For the past 50 days she's been going on and on and on about Princess Peach so that became the theme for this year's birthday cake.

Some years she has 2-3 cakes because she'll need one to celebrate at daycare and then the Penang family will come so we'll have another cake, and then she'll have another cake just to celebrate with us (parents these days).

It's really weird but Googling Princess Peach cake shows me that it's really hard to recreate the Princess Peach character out of Marzipan ... so I actually ordered an Amiibo Princess Peach to be placed on top of the cake.

amiibo princess peach

And after that my cake guy designed the cake based on the following brief, "please make a Princess Peach castle and make it look pretty and use this Princess Peach."

princess peach cake

And from this sketch he somehow made this amazing piece:

princess peach cake

Later in the afternoon I came across this comic and I thought it was so meaningful and apt. As an ex-gamer who completed Mario Bros handheld game, I look forward to the kids being old enough to play video games. I also look forward to retiring so I can pick up video games again (hehe).

My daughter is also really into Wiggles right now and has been asking for an Emma dress for the longest time. I went through a really hard time trying to buy this off Lazada, it was refunded twice before a seller finally accepted my money and shipped me my Emma dress.

What a lucky day that it arrived right on her birthday:

emma dress malaysia

Every day I do my best to look my kid in the eye and ask her if she's happy. Today she said she had a wonderful day, and that is enough for me. Just be happy, kid. And happy 4th birthday!

In case you need some inspiration, here are some crazy cakes I've arranged for over the years:

monkey jelly cake

Born in the year of the monkey and I was still nervous about giving my firstborn sugar, cream, icing, etc. so I ordered a lychee jelly cake with monkeys

frozen cakefrozen cake frozen cake frozen cake

At 2 years old, my daughter was crazy about everything FROZEN so she had two frozen cakes (one at home and another at daycare)

princess sofia cakeprincess sofia cake

One day she watched Princess Sofia on TV and asked for a Princess Sofia cake but I couldn't find a doll with brown hair so this is actually Ariel from the Little Mermaid dressed up as Princess Sofia. Then her dad made a fuss saying it's important that Princess Sofia has a necklace because it glows every time Princess Sofia does a good deed so we got the baker to create a necklace from marzipan.

peppa pig cake

At age 3 she discovered Peppa Pig so... naturally... this was the year I gave up and decided let's just have one cake and that will be a good enough birthday for a 3 year old.

paw patrol cake
My son was born in the year of the dog so naturally.. Paw Patrol cake!!! And also, my daughter liked Paw Patrol and I had a hard time trying to remember all the characters name (Chase, Marshall, Skye, erm...)

paw patrol cake

I don't really have an idea of what the ideal kids birthday party should look like (other than a lot of people coming by to drop off bags of money for their college fund) so I am just doing whatever I like since the babies won't remember much of it when they grow up anyway.

And right now, just having the excuse to eat and celebrate the best people in the world with crazy cakes is my kind of fun. If you ask me, any excuse to eat cake is fun!

Also, here are my cake guy details - highly recommended, his cakes are always fresh flavourful and tastefully done. Most importantly, he delivers the cake directly to you so no stress about falling cakes: Whip Up KL (contact me personally if you'd like the boss phone number)
